These guys (and a few women, yeah!) absolutely impress me. I don't know if you've ever been out on a lobster fishing expedition, but I have three times and it gets me at every turn.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These people work in sometimes crazy conditions to provide us with awesome lobster to scoff down. But they also keep a smile on their face and wouldn't have it any other way.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the Maggies, lobster fishing is the main economy, with tourism. Here you can see the boys coming back from a day of fishing, bringing some fresh lobster to the distributor, and it's being sorted by size and tagged before reaching our fish shops!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My evening destination, Métis-sur-Mer at the gates of Gaspésie.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But first...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Good music, sun and a little coffee to set sail for the Bas-Saint-Laurent!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I finally smell the river, I have lunch in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, I stop to say hello to the friends at @CoteestKamouraska, I continue on each kilometer of the Navigators' Route.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don't know what takes hold of me, but as soon as I touch the rocky beaches of Kamouraska, I start to cry. Uncontrollably. I cry for a good fifty kilometers as if all the worries of the past year fly away on contact with water. As if I left everything behind and am ready for this road trip. Saving tears, perhaps!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As night falls slowly, I reach the Pointe-au-Père lighthouse, then my evening meal: THE FIRST lobster roll of the trip, at Capitaine Homard, an eclectic spot full of marine decorations!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's late when I arrive at a friend's house in Métis-sur-Mer, but I'm zen. So happy to be back on the road!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
