There are two main parks in Coaticook. Both are spectacular but offer very different experiences. Here are the best features of each park to visit.
Parc de La Gorge de Coaticook
- Walk The Suspension Bridge – North America’s longest pedestrian bridge is right here! Take amazing pictures while you hike across it 50 metres above the river basin.
- Foresta Lumina – Explore this multimedia illuminated night trail inspired by the mythology of the Quebec forest. Spread out across 11 different zones, there is more than 2.6 km to cover under the stars. An impressive sight!

Parc Découverte Nature
- Acoatica – This one-of-a-kind activity combines all elements of fishing culture. You’ll learn about the lifespan of local fish, how their population is maintained, and, of course, how to catch and cook them. A fully immersive, indoor/outdoor event like no other.
- Fishing Guides – For a more traditional fishing day, sign up for an excursion. Experienced staff will help you optimize your fishing technique, which is great for all experience levels. You can also cook what you catch.
- Farm Tour – Educating the public about the importance of sustainable fisheries is a top priority here. Take the tour of their facility to see how the future of fishing looks.
Family Outing at Laiterie Coaticook Dairy
This place is a mecca of delicious flavours for cheese and ice cream lovers. There’s just something about sampling freshly made food that makes it taste so much better. All Québécois will recognize the ice-cream tub!
Ice Cream at Its Best
Focusing on the process is what has made Coaticook Dairy so famous. They stay true to old-fashioned methods that have been around for decades. With no modified milk substances in sight, you can enjoy flavours like double blueberries, taffy maple, and fudge & cookie dough guilt-free with no modified milk substances.
Cheese Me, Baby!
The pride they have for ice cream carries over to their cheese-making processes as well. Quebec is known for its cheese, and this is a wonderful opportunity to see what everyone is talking about. Enjoy varieties of goat, cheddar, and mozzarella. Don’t forget about their brined salty cheeses with herbs and spices.
Milk Museum
While enjoying your frozen treat or cheese of choice, take a stroll through their on-site museum. You’ll learn about the early production methods used to take milk from the cow all the way to your cone. They even have some old equipment that was used in the manufacturing process.
