Booking pet-friendly hotels in Rivière-du-Loup is an important step when planning your adventures in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region with your pet. There are trails to enjoy, outdoor sports, delicious local cuisine, microbreweries, and spirits. Here are 5 pet-friendly hotels in Rivière-du-Loup.
Motel Au Fleuve d’Argent
Book a motel room or a cottage at Au Fleuve d’Argent for a cozy stay while you explore Rivière-du-Loup. The rooms are comfortable, and many have a view of the Saint-Lawrence River.
Every room has air conditioning, a mini fridge, and microwave. Some cottages have a small kitchen area. Families will enjoy the playground, and there are picnic tables, a swing set, and outdoor fireplace too. They also offer 3 charging stations for electric cars.

Hôtel Universel
It’s one of the more popular pet-friendly hotels in Rivière-du-Loup, and a popular Quebec hotel chain. Hôtel Universel sits on the edge of the city, not far from the river and its commercial hub.
The hotel has an indoor pool with a waterslide, and the adult games room has a billiard table and a bar. The outdoor thermal spa experience is 30 to 45 CAD, and the hotel’s restaurant serves boréal cuisine. Rooms are spacious, and some come with a fireplace, soaking tub or jacuzzi.

Auberge de la Pointe
This is one of the best-rated hotels in Rivière-du-Loup and for good reason!
It’s a beautiful hotel located on scenic Route 132, close to the Saint-Lawrence River. It’s a seasonal hotel, so it’s open 15 May to 15 Oct. There is a heated indoor swimming pool, Finnish sauna, spa, and fitness centre to enjoy.
One of the hotel’s best features is the 6000 sq ft outdoor patio, which faces the river. Lounge in a hammock, sit by an outdoor fireplace when the nights are cool, and keep your eyes peeled for whales.
Auberge de la Pointe has 107 spacious rooms spread across 7 pavilions, several with a panoramic view of the river. Guests will also enjoy the hotel’s restaurant and cafe-bar.

Motel Camping des Flots Bleu
Budget travellers will enjoy the accommodations at Motel Camping des Flots Bleu, which is located on the shore of the Saint-Lawrence River. It’s a perfect spot for budget travellers, with plenty of outdoor space for pets to run around.
Pitch a tent or rent a motel room. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. A quiet escape after a long day.

There are not many pet-friendly hotels in Rivière-du-Loup, but the ones they do have are quite good. It’s always a good idea to check the hotel’s pet policy before making a reservation as some properties charge extra.
The list of properties can also change, so see some other pet-friendly hotels in Rivière-du-Loup here!
Asking about their cleaning policy is a good idea as well, as things may change. Chat with front desk staff at check for tips on local dog parks or hotspots, too.

Preparing For Your Trip
When I look for things to do in my destination, I always have a look at Viator, GetYourGuide, Manawa, Civitatis and sometimes even Expedia.
It’s first off a great way to find out what there is to do, but always a quick and easy method to book cheaply and efficiently with these renowned platforms.
Need a place to sleep? I find most of my accommodations on Booking.com, but I also use Hotels.com for their rewards program (11th free night) as well as Expedia. When booking smaller places in Quebec, you might not find them here and you’llneed to contact them directly to book.
Looking for a cheap flight to the Bas-Saint-Laurent through Montreal or Quebec City? Have a look on Cheapoair or Skyscanner I use regularly.
Once you’re there, rent a car to roam free with DiscoverCars, AutoEurope or RentalCars or hop on a bus around Gatineau, Montreal, Quebec, and surrounding cities with Busbud.
