Musรฉe de la Civilisation

Steps away from the cobblestone streets of Old Quebecโ€™s Lower Town, this museum is the best in the city. Musรฉe de la Civilisationโ€™s (museum of civilization) main permanent exhibit focuses on local Indigenous history and culture and is the perfect starting point.

The museum is known for its interactive exhibits on pop culture, science, Quebec history, and more.

Shopping for Quebec Souvenirs

Technically, shopping is an outdoor and indoor activity, but on a rainy day in Quebec City, it can be a lot of fun! The busiest, and oldest, shopping street is rue du Petit-Champlain, with its 18th-century buildings and artisanal shops. Cรดte de la Fabrique in Upper Town has Quebecโ€™s best department store, Simons. In Saint-Roch, shop at local boutiques on rue Saint-Joseph Est – including famed toy store, Benjo.
