Considering Montreal too for your bachelor party? Here a complete article about this to help you make up your mind!
Best Bachelor Party Hotels in Quebec City
The first thing I suggest you do during a bachelor party in Quebec City is to check in to a fantastic hotel and drop off your luggage to begin the trip. This will be your sanctuary for a few days to rest up before and after all your scheduled plans.
Besides the obvious Château Frontenac and my favourite hotel in Quebec City, Hôtel Nomad, here are some hotel suggestions on where to stay during your hen’s trip.
Dinner Ideas in Quebec City for a Bachelor Party
Food is a huge aspect of any bachelor party (hum, and all of our lives, right? Hello foodies!), and Quebec City has no shortage of tastebud-tingling options. We locals sure know our foodie places in the province, especially now that we finally have Michelin stars since May 2025!
Whether the groom is a foodie or a chicken nugget guy, I’ve got a place here for you to make his bachelor party unforgettable. Here are some of my local restaurant suggestions:
Café du Monde
With a lively and scenic dining experience by the St. Lawrence River, Café du Monde is known for its French-inspired cuisine. The restaurant’s specialties are grilled Nagano pork tomahawk, fresh seafood, and decadent desserts.
The bustling atmosphere, spacious interior, and picturesque views set the perfect stage for a celebratory gathering. It’s easily accessible and near popular nightlife spots with moderate pricing that delivers excellent value. I love this place for brunch, too!
The Wong Family Dynasty
Another great place for a hangover snack (well, an anytime snack, cause it’s so good) is Poulet Frit Wong in Saint-Roch neighbourhood. Their fried chicken is TO DIE FOR, definitely part of the top 3 I’ve eaten, no exaggerating.
Restaurant Wong, from the same amazing chef and foodie family, is a great place to book too for an Asian meal of scrumptious delicate dumplings, General Tao chicken and tons of other classics remastered by the family’s son who’s taken over.
La Planque
For a trendier but still relaxed and energetic scene, make a reservation at La Planque. The menu is a gastronomic delight, featuring creative, expertly crafted dishes such as their renowned rack of lamb, succulent beef carpaccio, and inventive small plates like fried polenta with saffron aioli that encourage sharing and sampling.
Located in Limoilou District, outside old Quebec for those who aren’t familiar with the city, its unique dining experience is away from the tourist hub yet close enough to continue the evening in nearby bars.
Le Chic Shack
To fight off the inevitable hangover, take your bachelor party to Le Chic Shack. Renowned for its comfort food, it specializes in burgers, poutines, and hand-spun milkshakes, making it the perfect remedy for a post-celebration meal, right at the feet of the Château Frontenac.
The casual, rustic-chic space is a relaxed setting ideal for unwinding with friends. With wallet-friendly prices and generous portions, Le Chic Shack delivers comforting relief after a night of revelry. Poutine isn’t too bad either there too, although I have to admit it’s not the best I’ve ever had.

Best Time to Come to Quebec for a Bachelor Party
If you ask me, Quebec City is amazing all year long, so is the rest of the province, but here are some details that will help you choose:
- Spring & Fall (March-June, September-November) – These are the best times for a bachelor party! The city is lively but less crowded, and you’ll score better hotel rates than in peak summer or winter. Plus, patios open up in spring, and fall brings stunning foliage.
- Summer (July-August) – If you want a vibrant atmosphere, summer is the busiest season. Expect packed bars, lively streets, and outdoor festivals like Festival d’été de Québec. However, book everything early, as prices skyrocket.
- Winter (December-February) – Winter bachelor parties are underrated! Go all out with snowmobiling, ice bars, and après-ski vibes. Try timing your trip during Carnaval de Québec for a next-level experience!
Pro Tips for a Smooth Stag Party
- Book Restaurants & Bars in Advance: Quebec City is small, and good spots fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Make reservations where possible!
- Public Transport & Uber: Taxis can be hit or miss, so rely on Uber or simply walk, most nightlife spots are close together. For the airport, check out this guide.
- Cash or Card? Most places accept cards, but having some cash on hand for cover charges or tips at smaller bars is smart.
- Dress Code for Clubs: Some upscale places enforce a dress code, so swap the sneakers for dressier shoes if you plan on hitting a fancy nightclub.
A Bachelor Party in Quebec City is Underrated
Most people would think to have their event in Montreal or a more recognized international destination. Still, those who host their bachelor party in Quebec City are pleasantly surprised at how the city blends a sophisticated atmosphere with a laid-back party style.

Preparing For Your Trip
When I look for things to do in my destination, I always have a look at Viator, GetYourGuide, Manawa, Civitatis and sometimes even Expedia.
It’s first off a great way to find out what there is to do, but always a quick and easy method to book cheaply and efficiently with these renowned platforms.
Need a place to sleep? I find most of my accommodations on Booking.com but I also use Hotels.com for their rewards program (11th free night) as well as Expedia. When booking smaller places in Quebec, you might not find them here and need to contact them directly.
Looking for a cheap flight to the Outaouais through Montreal? Have a look on Cheapoair or Skyscanner I use regularly.
Once you’re there, rent a car to roam free with DiscoverCars, AutoEurope or RentalCars or hop on a bus around Gatineau, Montreal, Quebec, and surrounding cities with Busbud.
